Join me TOMORROW at 11 AM to learn how I’ll reduce the murder rate by at least 40% by the end of my first term

Last week was an incredible week for our campaign to bring real change to the city of New Orleans.

It started with my performance at the debate, where four of the other so-called “major” candidates didn’t know the difference between a juvenile jail and an after school program. This was followed by an overwhelmingly positive response to my current TV ad in which I pledge to cut the murder rate by at least 40%, or not run for re-election.

Please join me tomorrow at the Youth Study Center at 11:00 A.M. as I announce my policy road map to reducing the city’s murder rate by at least 40% by the end of my first term as Mayor.

My criminal justice policy will institutionalize accountability, integrity, collaboration and transparency across the entire criminal justice system.

Come stand with me as we work to win our city’s battle against crime.

Where:     Outside the Youth Study Center at 1100 Milton Street, New Orleans, LA 70122
When:     Tuesday, November 20 at 11:00 A.M. CST

  1. I respect the notion that the murder rate can be lowered. I admittedly must denounce my own doubt in order to recognize that it IS possible, while everyone knows that it is very much important.

I must offer the suggestion that accountability for the reduction can not rest upon the police department, least much the police chief.

Murder strikes at a moment’s notice, even if planned over time. I do not understand how the police force can change this, similar in theme of how the military is being used to stop evil across the world.

If Compton, CA is a safer community it is not [only] because of the police department.
